Du Jiang Meets with the Bulgarian Ambassador to China
On December 30, CNTA vice chairman Du Jiang met with the newly appointed Bulgarian Ambassador to China Grigor Porozhanov in Beijing and both sides exchanged views on how to strengthen bilateral tourism exchange and cooperation and expand the two-way tourism market.
Du welcomed the visiting Ambassador on behalf of CNTA chairman Li Jinzao. He said, “Thanks to the deepening cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European countries in recent years, tourism exchange between China and CEE countries including Bulgaria have borne more and more fruits. Both Bulgaria and China enjoy long history and splendid culture. We welcome more Bulgarian tourists to China. Meanwhile, outbound tourism is growing rapidly in China and we would like to share development opportunities with Bulgaria. We are looking forward to more “one-trip-multi-destination” tourism products, better Chinese-speaking tour guides and services in scenic zones and a friendlier, more convenient travel environment for Chinese tourists in your country. I believe that through our joint efforts, our tourism exchange and cooperation will reach a new high.”
Ambassador Porozhanov remarked, “Tourism is not only a key part of bilateral economic contacts, but also a bridge connecting Chinese and Bulgarian peoples. Our tourism authority has maintained sound partnership with CNTA and we value the Chinese market and have made continuous efforts in simplifying the visa procedures, and improving tourist services and infrastructure. Chinese tourists are welcome to Bulgaria. The year of 2018 will mark the China-EU Tourism Year and Bulgaria will hold the rotating presidency of the EU Council in that year. We would like to strengthen cooperation with China to make the tourism year a great success.”
