Li Jinzao Meets with Mayor of Hastings, NZ
On February 9, local time, CNTA chairman Li Jinzao arrived at the city of Hastings, New Zealand and held a meeting with mayor Lawrence Yule at the city hall. Both sides exchanged views on how to strengthen tourism marketing and investment at the local level between the two countries. Also present at the meeting were city councilor Kevin Watkins and head of CNTA Department of International Liaison Zhang Lizhong.
It’s learnt that the city of Hastings was named a sister city of Guilin in China in as early as March 1981, and the sister-city pair was the first of its kind between the two countries, setting a model in strengthening bilateral ties. Governments and tourism businesses in the two cities have maintained sound partnership since then.
