Li Keqiang and Hun Sen Attend Signing Ceremony of Implementation Plan for Sino-Cambodian Memorandum of Understanding on Tourism Cooperation
On May 16, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen attended the signing ceremony of the Implementation Plan for Sino-Cambodian Memorandum of Understanding on Tourism Cooperation (2017-220). At ceremony held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, CNTA Chairman Li Jinzao and Minister of Tourism of the Kingdom of Cambodia Thong Khon signed the document on behalf of China and Cambodia, respectively.
The Plan points out that the two countries have reached broad consensus on strengthening communication, organizing personnel training, encouraging tourism investment and sharing industry management experience. According to the Plan, the Chinese side will give full play to its own advantages, help Cambodia with tourism development planning, organize Chinese enterprises to investigate Cambodia tourism investment projects, train 100 Chinese-speaking Cambodian tourism talents, and promote the establishment of a “Sino-Cambodian Tourist Talent Exchange Program.” In the year of 2017, the two sides will also jointly hold the Sino-Cambodian Tourism Summit Forum to further strengthen pragmatic bilateral cooperation in this field.
