Vice Chairman Du Jiang Met with Portnoy, Deputy Sport and Tourism Minister of Belarus
On January 12, CNTA Vice Chairman Du Jiang Met Mikhail Portnoy, Deputy Sport and Tourism Minister of Belarus and his delegation, having an in-depth discussion on enhancing China-Belarus cooperation in tourism.
Du Jiang said, Belarus is an important country in Eastern Europe with rich tourism resources. In 2018, Belarus will host the Year of Tourism events in China, which is a highlight in the bilateral relations and will promote the two sides cooperation in tourism. He hoped that China and Belarus bring their cooperation to a new step by implementing visa policies, increasing direct flights and enhancing publicity and information exchanges.
Mikhail Portnoy introduced the tourism resources and development in Belarus, and said that Belarus attached great importance to the Chinese tourist source market. He was delighted that the opening ceremony of “Belarus Year of Tourism” was successfully held at the beginning of 2018 in Chongqing. This is a fruit of practical cooperation between the two countries. He hoped that Belarus could attract more Chinese tourists through the Year of Tourism events.
Rudy Kiryl, Belarus Ambassador to China, and directors from CNTA Department of Tourism Promotion and International Liaison and from Belarus Embassy in China were also present at the meeting.
