Chinese Delegation Attends the 22nd Thai International Travel Fair
On February 7, 2018, the 22nd Thai International Travel Fair was opened in Bangkok. The Chinese tourism delegation headed by CNTA and comprising representatives from the competent departments and enterprises of Tianjin, Inner Mongolia, Liaoning, Jilin, Heilongjiang, Henan and Hunan attended the Fair. Shaolin Kung Fu and the natural style dancing and singing of the ethnic minority groups of Hunan were staged at the opening ceremony, which thrilled all the audience and added glory to Chinese tourism publicity. The exhibition zone of China which features a novel design of a distinctive style is very functional, highlighting the ice and snow tourism resources and products in the north of China and bringing a refreshing feel to the residents in the tropical area of Southeast Asia. Additionally, the exhibition zone displays an array of publicity materials, rewards those who give correct answers to relevant questions, and offers 3D shooting services, which has attracted a number of visitors. During the exhibition. Pongpanu Svetarundra, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Kingdom of Thailand, and Chen Yaoyuan, Chairman of Thai Outbound Tourism Association came to the Chinese booth to communicate with the members of the Chinese delegation regarding Chinese tourism. During the Fair, Henan, Inner Mongolia and Hunan will hold their individualistic promotions for further communication with the locals engaging in the tourism industry.
The Thai International Travel Fair hosted by TTAA as one of the largest-scale outbound travel fairs in Southeast Asia has been held for 22 times so far. Since 2004, it is open to the public for free. This Fair has over 1,200 exhibitions booths in an exhibition space of 21,000 square meters. By estimate, the Fair will receive over 700 thousand visits.
