Shao Qiwei Inspects Hunan Tourism Industry

From December 16 to 17, Shao Qiwei, Chairman of CNTA, went to Hunan to inspect the Shaoshan Mountain Tourist Site, South Hengshan Mountain Tourism Resort, Changsha Yuelu Academy, Juzizhou Island, and other tourist attractions. Zhang Chunxian, Secretary of Hunan Provincial Party Committee, Zhou Qiang, Governor of Hunan Province, as well as Huang Jianguo, Member of the Standing Committee of CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and Head of Hunan Provincial Organization Department met with Shao and his party. Vice Governor Xu Minghua accompanied Shao during the whole inspection journey.

Shao Qiwei remarked that the newly promulgated Opinions on Quickening the Development of Tourism published by the State Council has explicitly put forth the idea to develop tourism industry into a strategic mainstay industry for the national economy and a modern service industry better satisfying the general public, which has brought about an unprecedented development opportunity for the tourism industry in this new age. With abundant natural and cultural sceneries and its unique and characteristic “Red Tourism” resources, Hunan boasts great tourism prospect. Hunan Provincial Committee and government have made great efforts in building Hunan province into a powerful tourism province, with remarkable achievements in the “Tourism Project Construction Year” and Shaoshan Mountain “No. One Project” in particular, which has laid a solid foundation for enhancing comprehensive tourism taste in Hunan in the future.
