Dujiang Meets with Delegation from Four Cities and Counties in Central Taiwan

On June 26, Dujiang, CNTA Vice Chairman and Executive Director of Cross-Strait Tourism Exchange Association met with a delegation of over 30 persons from four cities and counties in central Taiwan in Beijing. The two sides exchanged their opinions on the issues inclduing intensifying tourism cooperation between the mainland and Taiwan.
First of all, Dujiang, on behalf of China National Tourism Administration and Cross-Strait Tourism Exchange Association, expressed his warm welcome to the visit of the delegation. He said that since the realization of the “Mainland residents touring around Taiwan”, tourism industry of the two sides have achived satisfactory communication and frequent exhanges on the basis of the established tourism cooperation system. The number of mainland residents going touring around Taiwan has reached 356,600 person-times up to now.
Huang Zhongsheng, Head of delegation from four cities and counties in central Taiwan, observed that tourism industries and the public of the two sides cherish intense wish for mutual exchange on tourism. The central part of Taiwan boasts abundant natural and cultural resources, and is willing to strengthen tourism promotion in mainland and improve tourism infrastructure construction in central Taiwan, so as to attract more mainland tourists to go sightseeing.
Dujiang said tourism industries of the two sides shall give full play to their unique advantages of mutually complement resources and convenient exchange of tourists with a view to enforcing tourism promotion efforts, continously optimizing tourism service quality, and pushing forward tourism exchange between mainland and Taiwan to a wider and deeper extent. Finally, he wished the delegation from four cities and counties in central Taiwan a consummation of their visit to Beijing.
