2010 Annual Meeting of Overseas Office Directors of CNTA Held in Beijing

January 29 to 30 - the 2010 Annual Meeting of Overseas Office Directors of China National Tourism Bureau (CNTA) was held in Beijing. During which, CNTA chairman, Shao Qiwei made a special interview with office directors and staff families. The CNTA vice-chairman, Zhu Shanzhong presented and made an important speech at the meeting. The leaders of related CNTA divisions and offices attended the meeting.
In his speech, Zhu Shanzhong made an analysis of the current development of China tourism industry. He pointed out that the overseas tourism market shouldered two main tasks this year: the overseas offices should take the "2010 China Expo-tourism" as the main line, make in-depth promotion activities of Expo tourism, give full play to the active role of Expo, and strive to achieve the goal of 3.5 million overseas visitors to Shanghai World Expo under the overall goal of 70 million visitors; the arrivals of overnight tourists shall grow by 7%. Overseas offices shall make full performance of marketing activities, sum up the experience of tourism industry in responding to crises, so as to cope with any potential emergency situations in the future tourism market. Zhu Shanzhong also put forward specific requirements for office work. He hoped that the offices would make deep understanding of the historical significance of "Opinions", comprehensively grasp the basic elements of "Opinions", and enhance such concepts of overall situation of politics, reform and innovation, as well as active services.
Liu Kezhi, the director-general of Department of Tourism Promotion and International Liaison of CNTA summed up the tourism market of 2009, made arrangements of emphasis tasks for overseas offices in 2010, and advanced the relevant suggestions and requirements for the offices.
