China Tourism Encyclopedia will be available on the market in the first half of this year

The reporter was informed on the Reporting Meeting of China Tourism Encyclopedia held in Shanghai by China Tourism Academy on December 30, 2011 that, a China Tourism Encyclopedia containing 3000 entries with up to 1.4 million words would be available on the market within the first six months of 2012.

 It is understood that China Tourism Encyclopedia is the first reference book in the sphere of tourism during 30 years since the vigorous development of China’s tourism. Being innovative, authoritative, practice-oriented and internationally based, it fills up the gap of dictionaries of the same kind both at home and abroad. The relevant personnel started pre-phase investigations at the end of 2008 before the commencement of compiling in June 2009. The draft had undergone many changes within the following two years; it had finished compiling recently and will be published soon.
