Travel services in China are enterprises
that make a profit by handling entry, exit and visa formalities
for visitors, soliciting and receiving tourists and providing
food, lodging, and other services for them. |
These travel services fall into
two categories: international and domestic. The international
travel services organize inbound tours for travelers from
overseas, outbound tours for Chinese citizens, and domestic
travel business. Of all the travel services in China,
1, 160 are allowed to solicit and receive tourists from
overseas.
The international travel services of China provide the
following services:
－Soliciting tourists from among foreigners, overseas Chinese
and compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan; organizing
them in group and individual tours of China; and providing
a complete array of tourist service, including transportation,
sight-seeing, lodging, shopping, entertainment and tourist
guides;
－Handling entry, exit and visa procedures with the authorization
of prospective tourists;
－Booking air, boat, and train tickets, and providing luggage
service for tourists. |
